But I weighed the response time against the fact that I noticed the signs in the afternoon before what for many people was a four-day weekend. Figuring that it would take the park board at least until Monday to respond, I decided it was ultimately better to take the signs down so the spammer didn't get extended free advertising. If I'd come across the signs on a normal Wednesday afternoon, I'd have called them in so that a record would be established about this particular entity.Jeff Skreneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14597476540441866248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382985764534737174.post-62281473624246885062010-11-29T17:30:14.848-06:002010-11-29T17:30:14.848-06:00The Minneapolis Park Board has a specific ordinanc...The Minneapolis Park Board has a specific ordinance against posting signs in parks. You should leave the sign alone and call the Park Police. They are known to issue a citation to the sign poster.
Several years ago someone went a little overboard in an election years and posted campaign signs on the trees along a parkway. They gave the campaign 24 hours to remove all the signs of get tagged for them.
The Park Police also take those "for sale/open house" signs realtors post along parkways. You can often see piles of them at MPRB service centers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2382985764534737174.post-44404801721222392702010-11-26T20:02:43.055-06:002010-11-26T20:02:43.055-06:00John, these particular signs were of the infamous ...John, these particular signs were of the infamous corrugated plastic variety.
